User visit: Mark Grayson

"Okay," says Enzo, leading Mark into the digimat room, "just stand over there in the target area so I can shoot you with this laser."

"So... he's...," Mark points at the comic cover and then back to Enzo, "... you?" He considers this, then adds, "So, you're like a clone."

"That's gotta be a little weird."

[OOC: Sorry about the delay. I've been sick.]

Mark considers this. "That's weirdly romantic."

He turns and scans the list of titles. Web Patrol looks interesting, and further down there's a Tales from the Null Sector, which looks to be a horror anthology of some sort (at least those look like zombies on the cover image, and the title blurb is talking about a Virus). "I can bring stuff back with me when I go back through the digimat, right?" he asks.

"Sorry. Forgot." He reaches down into the cuff of his boot - where he normally keeps his cash when he's in costume - and pulls out an electric blue and chromed gold rectangular object with a reproduction of the "I" emblem on his costume.

See that, Enzo? That's his confused face again. "This was supposed to be my wallet," he says quietly. He turns it over in his hands and notices that it has a seam around the edge. A little experimentation shows that it opens, just like a wallet. He extracts a piece of what looks like paper money, with a "10000" in the corner. Doing the translation in his head, he nods in comprehension, and says, mostly to himself, "Weird." But then he shrugs (after all, money is money) and taps the window for Web Patrol and hits the Move to Cart button. He knows he's got enough for a few comics, at least.

Mark nods. He selects a copy of Tales as well (because, zombies), and a copy of True Tales of the Guardians. He spies another book, The ESCapist, and on a whim, picks up a copy of it as well.

"We have this one at home," he says quietly to Enzo. "A version of it, at least. It's very good."

"Deal. I still owe you a copy of Science Dog anyway." He turns back to consider other titles, and is interrupted by a strange digitized grumbling from somewhere near the bottom of the logo on his chest. "I believe," he says dryly, "that our next stop has been decided. What's good to eat around here?"

"Works for me. Let's ring these out and go get some snackage." Mark tries not to think about how he's going to eat like this. He figures that it'll work itself out when he gets the food in front of him. He turns and heads toward the counter, purchases in hand.
