As soon as they're through the gap in the rock, their environs change, and the prow of the surfbaud rams straight into a mirror. It shatters, the shards glancing off Enzo's forcefield, and he is almost sent flying.
Shufti was pretty close to falling off before they got through the hole, and the sudden stop causes her to fly right over the top of Enzo.
Fortunately she's quick enough to flip the rest of her over so that her feet strike the mirror's remains, before she bounces off and lands back on the board.
"... Gosh, that was a bit close." she says, getting her breath back.
She gets out the pen and starts marking the mirrors with numbers as they go, holding Enzo's sleeve with her other hand. It should be easy, just looking for her reflection, until she walks straight into a transparent wall.
"Looks like it's glass and mirrors..." she says, rubbing her face and marking the wall.
Shufti looks at her own reflection and starts to write '22' on the mirror.
Her reflection grabs her hand and hisses, changing into something that looks a little like her but with bright red eyes. She shoves it back into the mirror, grabs the butt of her sword and smashes it into the glass.
"Frag!" barks Enzo and draws his own sword. "I've heard about stuff like this from the Games. Usually you just have to fight one doppelganger, but with a whole maze..."
"Mine w..." Shufti looks around when Enzo gets grabbed, and a reflection jumps out and grabs her in a headlock. She throws it over her shoulder, pulls it closer, and headbutts it back into the mirror.
