The current circumstances with (or rather, without) Bob have been really hard on Enzo. After talking to Dot in the bar, it occurred to him that they must be far, far worse for her. After she cheered him up (and he can see what she was doing, in retrospect), it's only fair that he do the same.

Thus, when Dot comes home, she will be greeted first by a variety of slightly questionable smells, then by a codeawful mess in the kitchen, a pile of dirty dishes in the sink, and a platter of very unevenly cooked C-loin tips and a big bowl of too-salty mashed potatoes on the table.

Enzo pours two cups of soda. "Not too much. Got an order to deliver some packages and one to pick up someone's takeout." He puts the cups down and takes a seat. "Y'know, now that we're back online, I should get some new jetball cards. Mine're all hours out of date."

"We'll see about doing that tomorrow if doing rumor control doesn't eat up all my processing time." Dot takes some plates and silverware out of the cupboard, setting her PDA on the table. "Tommy said he might stop by again if things get too hectic around here again."

Enzo giggles. "You mean she might!"

"I checked, he got changed back not long after I left apparently." Dot grins... "You remember what I talked about?"

Command.Coms should not be so evil. It's poor form.

"Bar doin' weird stuff to people. What happened?" He leans forward. Give! Give!

"It was april Fool's day, now you're going to want to avoid some User-world holidays, that one especially, it seems to be devoted to prank pulling..." She extracts the files from her PDA...and puts up the photos of Tommy in his Ranger Fuku with glitter on his face into a VidWindow. "Which Bar seems to enjoy doing."

Yes. She'll pay for this, but she did promise Enzo she'd explain. And this further backs up her threat from Mardi Gras. Behave or she'll have Bar dress you two in pink frilly tutus.

...okay, you'd better keep Enzo away from the potatoes while he's busy cracking up.

Which Dot does, there's nothing like laughter to get your mind off of a bad day, or a long series of bad days. The potatoes get moved to the otherside of the table and she starts tucking into the thoughtfully prepared dinner. "Remember... you never saw these from Me."

Bar would be far more likely to show them.

Enzo nods while gasping for breath. Finally he manages to say, "What was he wearing?!"

"He said he was dressed up like some character from a TV show based on the Rangers... Sailor Fuku, I believe is the term for that outfit." Dot grins.

"That was based on his group?" This just sends Enzo into a fresh fit of laughter. "That's worse that True Stories of Mainframe!"

"I know, and he's SEEN the nullzilla episodes." Dot chuckles merrily, oh this is good, she's needed a good laugh.

"Oh man... I could tell they totally screwed that up, and it didn't even happen to me!" He grins and looks at the photo again. "But at least they didn't have us wearing glitter."

"...they'll probably change that when they start making the movie Daemon Rising..." Bob's silver scarring for one point of that...

"Oh no..." Enzo facepalms. "I don't wanna be glittered!"

He peeps out from between his fingers. "So what're you telling everyone? About how I didn't get infected, and the people I brought and stuff?"

"The official story is that I sent you into a Gamecube with a bunch of other renegades we had hiding in reserve as refugees from another system. The only problem is excusing Tommy's Guardian code, and not too many of the binomes here SAW him so that's a point to our favor." Dot gets stern quickly, this has been a bug in her processor all day. "We can just hope that Turbo doesn't ask too many questions."

"He could be a renegade Guardian like Matrix," Enzo points out.

"Enzo, he's much older than Matrix, and the Guardians keep records. He would have had to come from a Guardian-registered system to get the training." Dot explains, the whole reason the topic of Guardian training had not come up before with little Enzo because well... The system Port was locked, and they couldn't speak to the Guardian Collective without getting shot at.

"Oh, yeah." Hmm... Yeah, Enzo's got nothing.

He takes a bite of steak. "... I don't think I made this right."

"You need to cook it for just a bit longer, we'll cook it a little more and then get back to dinner..." Dot shows Enzo how to use the burner to which heat, "You have to cook c-loin tips for at least 23 nanos, sometime later I'll show you how to make gravy."
