"Okay, I'm gonna use CORO to attack FTRIC," says Enzo, pushing two units along a line on the map. The random number generators click out the attack values.

The visit is now well into its second... second, and there's only so much you can do to keep yourself occupied around the house. Enzo has dug out some old circuit board games; they've already played Pixelnary, and now they're on RISC.

A little while before the call to Enzo, Matrix had gotten the call about the Neovirals' activities, and he, AndrAIa, and Ray quickly headed out to handle the situation.

The Neovirals had never been much of a threat to warrant bringing all three of them, but Matrix would rather be over-prepared than under.

"Fraggin' Neovirals," Matrix muttered as they approach Ghetty Prime. "Always gotta choose the worst time to cause trouble."

He had been in the middle of tuning up his bike when the call came in, which explains why he was currently using only his much slower zipboard to get there.

AndrAIa cruised alongside Matrix as the duo made their way towards the disturbance. "Well, what is it today? Eight units say inappropriate graffiti caricatures again."

"I got sixteen on handing out horribly written pamphlets," Matrix said as he shot her a grin.

Like it was said before, the Neovirals were never much of a threat.

"What odds're you giving on unauthorized construction projects?" asked Ray, swinging back in to join them as they passed the mouth of an alley.

"Construction?" he said incredulously. "Could you tell what it was?"

He was having trouble imaging them having enough skill to build a pillow fort, let alone anything troublesome.

"Can't be sure," he admits, "I didn't see much of the original. But it looks like the bottom of that big red building that got wiped in the restart, looked like a snake about to strike."

AndrAIa turns to Matrix with a slightly panicked expression.

"They're not that stupid, are they?"

Matrix's expression turned grim. The Silicon Tor. Something he didn't want to think about ever again.

"Well, they are pretty crashing stupid," he said. "What I'm wondering is how they'd even be able to do something like this. They've never been able to even picket right, let alone do anything this complicated..."

"I never said they were doing a good job," Ray points out. "Looks like cargo cult programming to me. They want the big guy back, so they're trying to put his home back where it was."

The Game sprite turns another panicked look at Matrix.

"Isn't that where they set up that lab?"

"Frag it all..." he mutters. "We've gotta get there now."

He started going full speed on his zipboard towards the former site of Megabyte's old tower, and wished he had his bike with him right now.

"Come on, people, move it!" hollered the foreman. "You wanna still be on the first floor when they get back? This foundation's gotta stretch the whole block!"

One advantage Megabyte had always had was being based in the industrial sector of Mainframe; even now, his followers certainly weren't short of building materials. Scaffolding covered a number of buildings and was steadily spreading.

Unfortunately for them, a job this big tends to draw some attention.

...Such as the three sprites now approaching on their zipboards.

Matrix draws Gun, hovering menacing over the binomes.

"Either someone starts explaining..." he says loudly. "...or I start firing."

He prefers the direct approach.

Most of the nearby binomes jump, the 1s clattering their blocks together.

The foreman, to his credit, does not panic. Less to his credit, he tries to bluff his way out even though the requested explanation is... really pretty obvious.

"'Ey, there some law 'gainst construction I ain't heard? C'mon, I'm on a schedule here!"

AndrAIa hovers beside Matrix on her zipboard, her trident drawn and extended.

"Well, we would leave you alone, but you see, it's not the fact that you're building that bothers us, it's what you're building that really ticks us off."

Ray brings his surfbaud up to form the upper point of the triangle.

"An' I just bet all your papers and permits are in order, hmmm?"

Matrix is silent as his eye spins, switching to targeting mode. The only sound coming from him is the faint hum as his eye begins to glow red.

His grip on Gun tenses slightly. He really wasn't in the mood to play around.

The binomes freeze for a few picoseconds. Then they shriek and flee, in no particular direction and with much panicked flailing.

Most of them do, anyway. The foreman just saunters off slowly, as do a few of his subordinates. They're wearing rather nasty smirks.

Ray shakes his head, swooping down to the level of the other two. "Pushovers. Well, if that's all, then -"

"Not so fast!" cries a heavily accented voice. In a nearby doorway stand the only two genuinely viral binomes remaining - still infected due to having been stuck in the form of cookies at the time of the restart and virus-scan, courtesy of Hex.

Herr Doktor pauses, then begins to laugh. "Ho-ho, I have made a funny joke, yes?" Bunnyfoot sniggers with him.

Oh, great. Them.

"What are you morons going on about?"

Herr Doktor stops laughing and clears his throat. "Ve haff important information for you," he declares importantly.

Gripping her trident just a bit tighter, she addresses the two virals.

"Oh yeah? What is it then?"

Herr Doktor looks around conspiratorially, then beckons her closer. "Come. Ve must not be overheard."

AndrAIa is hesitant. These are, after all, virals. She looks away from them for a moment, aiming an inquisitive glance at her two companions. Again, hesitantly she moves past Ray to Herr Doktor's side, crouching down to the binome's level.
