"Okay, I'm gonna use CORO to attack FTRIC," says Enzo, pushing two units along a line on the map. The random number generators click out the attack values.

The visit is now well into its second... second, and there's only so much you can do to keep yourself occupied around the house. Enzo has dug out some old circuit board games; they've already played Pixelnary, and now they're on RISC.

"Argh! Okay. You can come. Just take it easy."

He flew for the window, phasing and going invisible.

"Define 'easy'." Giggling to herself, Dani goes invisible and phases out through the window after them.

Once she's caught up, she flies up so that she's near Enzo. "So, do we have a plan here?"

Enzo ponders. "I don't think most of them should be much problem; the CPUs can take care of 'em. If you two can override the worst ones, and stop 'em from doing anything... maybe even make 'em slow down the others if they've got enough commands..."

Dani feels her stomach clench at his suggestion. It's a good idea, sure. But she didn't miss the reactions of the others after she'd test-overshadowed Enzo back in the Matrices' garage.

"Okay, I think that'll work," she agrees uneasily.

"Piece of cake," said Danny's voice in the air on the other side of him.

"I might have to pretend to beat them, since there'll be - "

Pwing! A fresh vidwindow springs up in Enzo's path. "Guardian Matr- Enz- sir!"

Enzo pulls up short, just avoiding smashing through the window. "I'm on my way already. Are there new developments?"

The binome looks miserable. "Not with the neovirals, but... sir, the sensors have picked up a Game."

"What?!" Oh, spam. Why do Games always have the worst possible timing? "Where?"

"Floating Point. Somewhere in the outer sectors."

Enzo's jaw drops. "That's opposite G-Prime! W- I'll never get there and back in time!"

Amid the background hubbub, Mouse's can be heard to shout something.

The binome glances in the direction of her voice, then looks back at Enzo. "Sir, Mouse says that if you're sure you can take the Game, she'll go with the CPUs."

Enzo is deeply torn. Those are his friends and family in trouble down there. But a Game can't just be ignored, and the usual contenders are out of the running.

There's another shout from offscreen. "What? Yes, I'll tell him." The 0 looks puzzled. "Mouse says she's confident in your ability to handle the Game all by yourself."

"What does she... ohhhhh." Enzo smirks, then clears his throat and nods. "Roger that. I'll take the Game, she can have the neovirals. Guardian Enzo out." Pwing.

Even though you can't see it, Dani's grinning to beat the band.

She's going to get to go inside a Game!

"Been here. Done this," Danny said.

Going into video games was so first season.

But it had to be done. His code demanded he do it, and that he do it with a pearly white superheroic grin.

"Yeah, but you were playing as a User that time, right?"

Still, prior experience is definitely a plus. And with the ghosts' powers, they might even tie this up in time to still help in G-Prime. He makes a sharp right (hoping no one's in the way) and heads for the park.

"Does it make a difference? If the other guy won it still meant lots of people could get hurt."

"Yeah, but it might play different."

Though the Mainframers often win their Games by accomplishing the User's own goal, and doesn't the mun bet that confuses the heck out of the User?

The sky darkens. WARNING: INCOMING GAME.

"Here we go!" Enzo angles toward where the giant purple cube is descending from a sudden sucking hole in the sky.

"Whoa. Who's hoovering the sky?" Danny asked as they sped towards the dropping cube.

His canon was devised by Brits. Of course he knows what 'hoovering' means.
